ITCHY SKIN

Itching is a normal response that happens in the body. But itchy skin can become a distressing problem for some, particularly if your skin is itchy because of eczema.

WHY YOU FEEL THE ITCH

The medical name for itchy skin is pruritus and there are many reasons why you can get it. Some people get itchy skin because of another medical condition, such as eczema or rosacea (redness-prone skin). For others, it is from having dry skin.

You can also get itchy skin if your skin is just sensitive. While you might be able to use personal care products on your body with no problems, on your face it can be a different story, making it feeling itchy and irritable. Half of women have sensitive skin so you would not be alone, and most often, it affects the face.
