If you have sensitive skin, you are not alone. Around half of women and 40% of men report having skin sensitivity.
RECOGNISING SENSITIVE SKIN
If you have sensitive skin, your skin is less tolerant to cosmetics and personal care products, so your skin can become irritated by them, as well as other things in your environment.
Sensitive skin presents in a wide variety of ways. Your skin may sting, itch, or burn, and it might look irritated – there could be some redness, dryness, scaling, peeling, bumps, or hives.
You might just have a sensitive face, and products that you can use on the rest of your body without a problem may cause irritation and rashes on your face – the eyelids may be particularly sensitive. Or you may have a sensitive body – the armpits, groin and genitals are often more sensitive than other areas because the skin is thinner in these places.
